Missions

Our mission is to help people locally and globally CONNECT with the saving love of Jesus Christ; lead them to GROW in relationship with Him; then send people out to SHARE that very same good news with others. Chapin Christian is committed to reaching out to the lost and hurting both at home and abroad by forming partnerships with churches and organizations that are planting churches, equipping leaders, assisting the poor, caring for the sick, and educating future generations.

Global Impact Celebration

This year’s GIC was truly one many will never forget. Kicking off the week, a team of 300+ volunteers packed 76,032 meals for Mission of Hope, and we began the 7 Days of Sharing. Then hurricane Helene rolled into town! We continue to see the Lord working in our community as clean-up continues, power is being restored, and life returns to some sense of normalcy. Saturday night, gathered in our front parking lot for a time of worship and to pray for our Mission Partners, and enjoy a time of fellowship, despite not having power. Sunday morning, the lights came on and we enjoyed worship, and had a time to meet with Mission Partners! This week has been another example of the NOT NORMAL:

“WE ARE A NORMAL CHURCH FILLED WITH NORMAL PEOPLE EXPERIENCING THE NOT NORMAL BLESSING OF GOD! AND FOR GOD’S GLORY AND FOR THE SAKE OF EVERY PERSON WHO DOES NOT KNOW JESUS AS THEIR SAVIOR, WE PRAY FOR MORE NOT NORMAL!”

7 Days of Sharing

What is “7 Days of Sharing”?
“7 Days of Sharing” is a week of radical, random acts of generosity and kindness from our church family to the community. Our goal is to be “salt and light” (Matthew 5:13-16) and share the love of Christ. “7 Days of Sharing” is about focusing on others’ needs with fun, practical acts of unconditional love. This week will make a lasting impact on our community and our own lives. Get involved and make a difference!

How to Participate
Anyone can join: Do acts of kindness alone, with your family, Small Group, Sunday School class, or with the entire church on the final day. Aim to do something kind every day. The more you share, the more opportunities to spread the gospel.

Spreading the Word
“Pay It Forward” Cards: Use these cards (available in the Narthex) during your acts of kindness to explain why you’re sharing and invite recipients to visit our church website for more information.
