“Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God, and I care not whether they be clergymen or laymen, they alone will shake the gates of Hell and set up the kingdom of Heaven upon Earth.”
“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” -1 Corinthians 10:13 [ESV]
No follower of Jesus avoids temptation. And the closer we seek to follow the more it seems temptation attempts to hem us in. The good news is God is faithful and makes the way of escape available to us every single time we’re tempted!
