John joined the ministry staff of Chapin Christian Community Church in July 2017. He is joyfully married to Sarah, and together they are raising three wonderful children and a cherished foster daughter. A graduate of North Greenville University, John is currently completing a Master’s in Spiritual Formation and Leadership at Friends University.

Throughout his ministry, John has served as a worship leader, youth pastor, and church planter—roles through which God has shaped his calling to spiritual formation. He is also a musician, releasing an EP with his band in 2016, and the author of the Advent devotional Waiting and Longing.

John’s pastoral heartbeat is centered on forming people into the likeness of Christ: helping them be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did. His desire is to see a community fully alive to the presence, purposes, and power of God.
